This top 10 encompasses some of my favourite tunes of the moment, but they are not necessarily hot off the press…but as we all know old is by no means bad. One or two tracks and psytrance per se, but fall under the umbrella of psychedelic lifestyle music, and in any case all of these tracks have been caned amply the last few weeks. So without further ado, and in no particular order;

1. Kularis – 《Stand Alone》（出自专辑《Goa X Vol 7 Spring Edition – YSE》）
利用一个时髦的小elecro淡码，将危险的基调转向cheeseball的范围，这个突破引起了很大的反响和收获。虽然在榜单上不是最好的成绩，但值得关注和聆听。
A funky little elecro tinged number, which veers dangerously close to cheeseball territory, but the break always commands a great response and gets booties shaking. Not the best number on this list but worth a mention, and a listen.

2. Carbon Based Lifeforms – 《MOS6581 (Album Version)》（出自专辑《Hydrophonic Garden》）
最佳单曲，所以每次的TOP10都有它的一席之地。通过Swedish duo Daniel Ringström 和Johannes Hedberg的合作方式所编制的飘渺旋律和空灵的情感让我多次流泪。
Best track in the world, ever, so therefore deserves a place on this, and every Top 10. The way Swedish duo Daniel Ringström and Johannes Hedberg manage to weave together an ethereal tapestry of melody and emotion still brings me to tears on many occasions.

3. Orzels Machine –《Academic》（出自专辑《Academic EP》）
为什么我爱它的一个理由是他们就是多才多艺的标签，由天才音乐人创造出弯曲流派的音乐，和对先驱模式的敏锐性。Orzels,由Scorb 和 Trick Music’s Mike Rusin¬ski构成，冲击了psybreaks，此张EP是近几年来最好的一张。Fat beats在一路的晃动中伴随着各种欢乐的旋律。这个速度很适合在一些舞池中亲热爱抚的那种迷幻感觉。好旋律。
One of the reasons why I love TRICk is that they are one of the most versatile labels around, pushing out genre-bending music by talented artists, with a keen eye on the phat end. Orzels Machine, consisting of Scorb and Trick Music’s Mike Rucinski, make banging psybreaks, and this EP from last year is one of their finest. Fat beats are driven along by a wonderfully wobbly mid end and all sorts of happy melodies. It’s tempo means it nicely fits into a psytrance set for some cheecky dancefloor canoodling. Great tune.

4. Phibian vs Antispin –《Dangerstrips》（出自专辑《Dangerstrips EP》）
一些迷幻舞曲首次与令人生畏的TRICK音乐合作。深的，黑暗的扭动伴随着邪恶的黑色基调，只是为了所以眼前的东西。但是说真的，是绝对的杀手。
Some ruthless psychedelic trance action from this first time collaboration on the perennially awesome TRICk Music. Deep, dark and quite twisted with a wicked dubstep break, just to be all current and whatnot. But seriously, absolute floor killer.

Nice outdoor stomper which drives along nicely before a sweet little drop and a beautiful melody picking it back up again for a final sunsoaked run. You can already imagine the happy crowds at Glade!

6. Mood Deluxe –《Nightclub》（出自专辑《Hot Points》）
是那常年伟大的Liquid Records里的好作品。Mood Deluxe 由于这唱片的出品而茁壮成长，全各地有145张。这其中有一个有趣的介绍使其直接进入欢乐的疯狂。
On one of the finer labels out there, the perennially great Liquid Records, Mood Deluxe has bust out with a great album of stonking full on and psybreaks, all around the 145 mark. This one has a funny intro that leads straight into upbeat madness. Great first track this…was mine in fact at Psyfidelity in Beijing.

7. Chameleon v Earthling  –《Into the Cosmos》（出自专辑《Into The Cosmos EP》）
也是来自Liquid；一开始以旋转的低音来席卷你，继续以这样的形式从上、中、下三面来产生各种漩涡。有一个扭曲的吱吱作响的优势，但仍然能保持它的时髦和不暗沉，伴随着一些漂亮的伦理意味。以迷幻的方式来自我呈现。
Another one from Liquid; sweeps you in from the start with a rolling bassline that keeps on building with all sorts of swirly shit above, below and between. Has a twisted squeaky edge, but still manages to keep it funky and not too dark, with some nice ethic undertones. Proper Psytrance this, they all should be made like this.

8. Inner State –《Element 5》（出自专辑《Terraforma》）

是 这个希腊艺术家的首张专辑但对我来说是杰出的单曲中的一张。不是很前卫，但也不是完全保留。他跨越了两种风格之间的区域，而且展示得很好。跳动的声线吸引 着你，同时具有深度和韵意的催眠的旋律漂浮在你的左右。利用一点点的中断然后落下，这是如此的完美，让你不由的跳起舞来。不要大声播放，最好是在户外播 放。在阳光下。一手一杯比利时的啤酒，还有任你想象。
Debut album from this Greek artist with this one of the standout tracks for me. Not quite prog, but not quite full-on, he straddles that difficult zone between the two styles and does it extremely well. Trundling basslines chug along and draw you in while hypnotic melodies float around with depth and meaning. The break draws on a little bit but then drops with such perfection you can’t help but dance. Begs to be played out loud, preferably outdoors. In the sun. With a Belgian beer in one hand, and whatever else tickles your fancy in the other.

9. Zen Mechanics –《Off the Grid (Burn in Noise RMX)》（出自专辑《Re-Modified》）
被另一个我喜欢的艺术家创作的舞曲，舞曲中混合了由我喜欢的艺术家创造的我最喜欢的曲目。这本该很好，事实是很好。完美的早晨恍惚，就在太阳即将到来，你有了第二次爆发的能量。充满能量地滚动向前伴随着Burn in Noise商标伴随在其中，越来越高直到下落，你不仅仅只是抹掉你脸上的笑容。爱它。
A remix of one of my favourite artists of one of my favourite tracks by one of my favourite artists. This should be good. And it is! Perfect morning trance, just when the sun is coming up and you’re getting your second burst of energy. Energetic grooves roll along while Burn in Noise’s trademark mids sweep along and build up more and more until that drop and you just can’t wipe the smile of your face anymore! Love it!

10. Ömer Faruk Tekbilek –《Whirling Dervish》（出自专辑《Whirling》）
这首歌出现在这里是因为我最近在上海世界音乐节看了 Ensemble Noureddine Khourchid & the Whirling Dervishes的演出。他深深的触动了我，真正带我到了另一个地方，使我重新定义恍惚这个词的含义。这件作品只能传达很少的一方面，但我恳请大家去亲生体验一下。
This one goes on here as I recently saw a performance of The Ensemble Noureddine Khourchid & the Whirling Dervishes of Damascus at the Shanghai World Music Festival. It touched me deeply, really took me to another place and made me reassess the meaning of the word trance. This piece can only convey a very small part of the ritual, but I implore everyone to go and experience it for themselves.

Raja Ram, psychedelic guru, visionary musician and godfather of Psytrance Raja Ram began his musical quest by studying flute at the Melbourne Conservatory, Australia. Later going to New York to study jazz under the famous musician and composer Lennie Tristano.
He was also the founding member of the pioneering band Quintessence in the late 1960s and early 1970s, playing at the first ever Glastonbury Festival in 1970, also playing alongside Led Zepplin!
In the 1980s, Raja became interested in the emerging genre of electronic music and was one of the first people to make what is today considered psychedelic trance. Since then he has been at forefront of the Psytrance scene, a harbinger of the next sound. Forming one of the most influential and pioneering labels of the scene TIP Records, and being an instrumental member of Psytrance’s biggest acts, T.I.P., Shpongle, 1200 Micrograms.
Raja Ram has released over 20 albums in a career that has spanned 40 years.
Whether playing at the fist ever Glastonbury in 1970 or rocking a crowd of 60,000 Bazillions in the new millennium Raj has done it all.
He is a true pioneer, showman and above all musician.

1. 60年代你原来是Qunitessence的乐队成员。什么事情让你离开一个传统乐队环境，开始做现代的电子音乐？
Originally you were in the band Qunitessence in the 1960s. What made you move from a traditional band environment to become interested in and making modern electronic music?

A: 是一个很顺畅的过渡。。音乐风格总是互相融合，像河水流到大海一样。。。我花了40年的时间没玩好音乐。。。？开玩笑。。。
It was a gradual transition..one style merges in with another, like rivers running into the sea….it’s taken me 40 years to play this badly..? only joking…

2. 对你来说谁的音乐或者音乐概念留给你的印象最深，让你去做音乐？
Who’s music or musical ideas had the greatest influence on you to make electronic music?

A: 脑子里面的声音。。。还有我的想象力，谈话，动物的声音，发“哼哼”的声音，外星人聊天的声音，言语不清的说话还有不能自己的说话，这些都融合在了一起。
Sounds inside my head……imagination mixed with conversations, animal noises, grunts, alien chatter, babbling and talking in tongues.

3. 什么东西是让Psytrance跟别的音乐不一样？
What makes Psytrance unique from other music?

A: 气场。。。心灵感应。。。观众，穿着上的随意性,容纳所有的社会阶层，全世界的旅游者都在充满异国情调的地方旅行。
The smell…and the vibe…the crowd,the dressing up, down, all classes, mixed world travelers on an exotic journey.

4. 好的Psytrance派对是什么样的？
What makes a good Psytrance party?

A: 第一是音乐和声音，这是最重要。第二是环境布置，第三是场地，第四是观众，第五是爱和观众的理解，第六是赞助人是否后来会给你钱，第七是回去时的宾馆和机场。。。
The music and sound is everything,then comes the decoration,and the venue,then the crowd, the love,or understanding of the crowed..then whether the promoter pays you,then getting back to the Hotel, and airport……..

5. 是什么东西让Psytrance能游走于各种文化之间？
What makes Psytrance able to cross cultures?

A: 节奏。。BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM。。。甚至猴子都能玩这个节奏。。。
The BEAT..BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM….even Monkeys can play this Rhythm …..

6. Psytrance的未来是什么？
What is the future of Psytrance?

A: 未来才刚刚开始。。。我们要拿下它！！。。。千千万万的孩子在家用电脑做音乐。。不能想到的未知性，还有方向和网络的交流。
The future just started..and we are on it..millions of kids making music on computers at home…unbelievable possibilities and direction and communication thru the web.

7. 你做过最有意思的采样是什么？
Whats the most interesting thing you have sampled?

A:巴西的青蛙和亚马孙河的哑巴矮人。
frogs in Brazil and a mute midget in the Amazon.

8. 哪一首你做的歌让你最自豪？
What track or piece of music are you most proud of making?

A: 《When The Day Turns To Night》 在Shpongle的第一个专辑里。

9. 对一些新做Psytrance的音乐家来说，有谁是你认为我们都应该注意，也拥有好的发展前景的？
Out of new Psytrance artists is their anyone you think has a bright future and is one to watch?

A: 每一个都好。。。。Ace Ventura, Lucas, Dickster, Laughing Buddha, Promethus, Younger Brother等等，还有很多很多。
Everyone is good…Ace Ventura, Lucas, Tristan, Dickster, Jez, Benji, younger brother many many many more.

10. 你会给那些想开始做自己的电子音乐的人什么建议？
What advice would you give to someone who wants to start producing their own electronic music?

A: 应该像热恋中一样的做。。。。爱音乐比你爱你爱的人要多。
Be passionate about it…..love music more than your lover.

11. 在你不做音乐或者不在巡回表演的时候，你都做些什么？
What do you do when you are not on tour or making music?

A: 在伦敦的Notting Hill Gate，我住了44年的房子里，坐在桌子旁看着窗户外面
Sit at this desk looking out the window in Notting Hill Gate where i live…in my house which i have lived in for 44 years..non stop.

12. 如果你不是一个音乐家你会做什么？
What would you do if you weren’t a musician?

A: 魔术师。
A magician.

13. 如果你认为2012年一定是一个人类的变化点，这个变化是什么？
If you think that 2012 will definitely create a change for humanity what will it be?

A: 让爱发扬光大！
